Patricia Idrugo
Family Resource Center Supervisor
Originally born in Peru, the Bay area has been home for Patricia since 2001. Patricia is bilingual in Spanish and has 8+ years of experience working with families and children in San Mateo County.
She incorporates crisis intervention, trauma-informed, and family centered practices with a DEI lens in her daily work with families. At a personal level, she understands the struggles families face while learning to navigate systems and accessing services for their children with special needs. Patricia takes pride in being a strong advocate and is passionate to empower families to find their voice and make the best decisions for their children.
Patricia joined AbilityPath 3 years ago and worked in early childhood evaluation and program coordination as a Watch Me Grow and Help Me Grow coordinator before joining the FRC. Her other work experience includes being a Court Advocate for CASA of San Mateo, a Domestic Violence counselor at CORA, and La Casa de las Madres. Patricia comes with personal and professional experience in the areas of special education and disabilities and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Tourism and Hospitality Administration.
Among her many interests, she enjoys chasing sunsets, trivia challenges, salsa dancing, photography, web design, and quality time with her two sons.
