Haydee Amaya Landaverde is a Bilingual Family Resource Coordinator at AbilityPath, where she supports families of children and youth with disabilities. In her role, she guides parents and caregivers through resource navigation, connects them with community providers, and offers support and information during key transition stages—from early intervention to school, high school, and vocational or rehabilitation services.

Her work is deeply personal. Both of her children were diagnosed with special needs, giving her a firsthand understanding of the challenges families face. This journey inspires her commitment to serve with empathy, compassion, and purpose.

Originally from El Salvador and now based in Redwood City, Haydee has a strong background in community service. She was an active member of Club Activo Juvenil 20-30, a volunteer-led organization dedicated to supporting children with disabilities through fundraising and service initiatives. As part of the club, she helped organize events and participated in national campaigns such as Teleton 20-30, which raises funds for inclusive programs and services for children and adults with disabilities across the country.

Haydee earned a degree in Architecture from the Universidad Nacional de El Salvador. While her professional path led her to family support services, her background in architecture strengthened her creativity, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail—all of which she applies in her current role.

She continues to volunteer at her children’s school events and lives by the values of service, teamwork, and compassion—values she first developed through the Scouts and her early involvement in community service clubs.

In her free time, Haydee enjoys reading, exploring different cultures, learning about diversity and inclusion, and caring for her growing collection of succulents.

Inspired by her mother—a former elementary school teacher and her first guide during her children’s diagnosis—Haydee joined AbilityPath with the desire to give back the support she once received, and to walk alongside other families with empathy, guidance, and hope.
