Child Care Coordinating Council of San Mateo County (4Cs)

Child Care Coordinating Council of San Mateo County (4Cs) is dedicated to serving all families in San Mateo County by providing free child care information and referrals.

Choosing quality child care for your child can be an overwhelming task. The online resources at 4Cs, as well as its Referral Coordinator provide valuable information to help you through this process. Types of Care, Program Philosophy, and Tips for Interviewing Providers will get you started. Quality Care for Infants, Quality Care for Preschoolers, and Quality Care for School-Age Children offers additional information on what to look for in a provider.

The 4Cs Referral Coordinator is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at (650) 517-1400. They also have an online database where you can complete your own provider search.  

4Cs offeres assistance to parents who need help paying for child care through its subsidy program. Please visit the Paying for Child Care page for additional information.
